Can you believe that the year is almost over? Is it just me, or does it seem that it just started? With New Year’s Eve around the corner – like tomorrow – I guess it’s time to start planning our celebration. I don’t know about you, but I hate going out on New Year’s Eve. I’m scared of drunk drivers so I prefer to stay home with my family and ring in the new year pajama-style! Remember last week when I posted about my Word of the Year? One of the commitments I made was to strengthen my relationship with my husband and kids. One of the ways I intend to do that is to have regular family game/movie nights. I bought a few things for Christmas to get us started, and I intend to have our first family night New Year’s Eve at home with the kids.
Emma has mentioned wanting to see Despicable Me 2 no less than 847 times! So, we are going to watch that tonight! That’s #1 on our “stay-up-til-midnight” to do list. We also got Sorry and UNO so I’m sure we’ll play a few rounds of those. I found our snack for the night!! Skillet S’Mores!! Doesn’t that sound heavenly? We think so, and we can’t wait to give them a try!
While searching Pinterest, I found tons of great ideas! I can’t wait to have Emma help me pick out a few activities for tomorrow night.
I can’t wait to pass out these “midnight kisses” as the clock strikes 12:00.
I’m anxious to see what everyone is looking forward to in 2014. We’ll use these printable resolution pages.
This New Year Interview will be fun to fill out. I love the idea of filling these out and keeping them year after year to see how much the kids change over the years.
