Heather Bowen, who blogs at Upside Down Homeschooling, has created a sweet new ebook just in time for Thanksgiving! “My Book of Thanks” is a 25-day gratitude journal for kids. Teaching young children to be thankful for the things around them is important any time of the year. With Thanksgiving on the way, it’s the perfect time to teach them to show gratitude for all that they have.
This precious ebook includes a beautifully illustrated cover page. This can either be laminated and used as the cover of your book or slipped into the front cover of a binder. Have your children write their name at the top and the date at the bottom, and you’re ready to get started.
Next, you’ll find the “meat” of this book. There are 25 daily “Today I am thankful for…” pages. Each odd day includes a Bible verse about being thankful. These can be used as memory verses or as discussion points – or both. After the “Today I’m thankful for…” prompt, writing lines are given for the child to record something they are thankful for.
What a simple way to cultivate an attitude of gratitude in your little ones.
