We kicked off our week with a date night! I really can’t remember the last time we were able to go out without the kids. One of the guys Matt works with got us tickets to the Rascal Flatts concert. I just love Rascal Flatts. Scotty McCreery opened for them, and I love his voice! I didn’t know many of his songs, but I really liked his music. So, I will be buying some on iTunes. Anyway, we had great seats, and we had tons of fun!
Last week, I shared with you that Emma broke her wrist. Tuesday, we met with the orthopedic doctor. It turns out she has a buckle fracture in her radius, and she fractured the growth plate at the tip of her ulna. So, now she will be sporting a pretty blue and green cast for the next three to four weeks.
In other news, Isaac got accepted to his #1 college choice this week. While most kids haven’t even started applying to colleges, Isaac got his first acceptance email this week. I’m so not ready for all of this! It’s just coming way too fast. But, I am so glad he’s at least got one big thing checked off his senior to-do.
He’s taking the ACT again next month, and then he’ll apply to a few more. He went ahead and applied to his first choice school to get a jump start on applying for scholarships. I know I keep saying this, but I’m not ready! It’s all just going too fast.
Our weekend is filled with the Homecoming Dance for Isaac and Emma’s first Nutcracker rehearsal with the Cincinnati Ballet. She’s super excited about that!
What about you? What do you have planned?
